Research study privacy policy.

Last updated: September 8, 2026

This policy explains how Unblo, Inc. handles personal information when you arrange or take part in a research interview about how teams test software. Participation is for adults aged 18 and over.

Questions or requests: contact@unblo.com. Use of our app and customer testing service is covered by the main privacy policy.

01

Who is responsible

Unblo, Inc. is the controller of study information. Our correspondence address is 2810 North Church Street, STE 89705, Wilmington, DE 19802, United States. Antoni Gruca is our privacy contact. The founders operate from the United States, France, and Poland.

02

What we collect

We collect your name, contact details, booking and calendar information, correspondence, and what you choose to share during the interview. Study material may include notes, audio or video recordings, and transcripts.

We use Google Workspace for email, scheduling, calls, recordings, transcripts, and storage. Booking information is supplied through the Google appointment experience or correspondence with us. Google's own notices apply when you use its services.

You may skip questions, decline to share your screen, or end the interview at any time. Please avoid sharing passwords, sensitive personal information, customer records, or material you are not authorized to disclose.

03

Recording, use, and access

We record or transcribe a call only with your permission. You can participate without being recorded. People who did not agree to recording were not recorded.

The Unblo founders have access to study material. We use identifiable material to conduct and check the study and prepare its findings. We may use anonymous, aggregate findings to improve Unblo. Identifiable interviews, recordings, or transcripts are not authorized for model training, unrelated AI evaluation, marketing, or named quotes by agreeing to participate. Those uses would need separate permission.

Published findings are prepared to avoid identifying participants or their employers. We do not sell participant information or share it for targeted advertising.

04

Legal bases and providers

Under EU and UK data protection law, we rely on our legitimate interest in arranging and administering voluntary business research for bookings and correspondence. Participation and the use of interview material rely on your consent, with separate permission for recording and transcription. Required legal records rely on the relevant legal obligation.

Google Workspace handles the study communications and material. Our Workspace storage is in the EU, but this does not guarantee EU-only processing or access. Founder access and provider operations can involve other countries, including the United States.

Website hosting and optional PostHog analytics are described in the main privacy policy. The same explicit analytics choice covers the Unblo website and app in your browser. It is independent of agreeing to an interview or recording. Use Analytics settings in the footer to change it.

For information on international processing, recipients, security, and applicable transfer safeguards, see the main privacy policy or contact us. Website analytics consent does not control Google's separate services when you use a Google booking or meeting experience.

05

Retention and withdrawal

You do not need an Unblo account to participate. We keep identifiable study material while needed to conduct the study, check its findings, and deliver the participant report, unless you withdraw consent or request deletion earlier. Booking and mailbox copies are retained while needed to administer the study or ongoing correspondence. Legal records and provider recovery copies may follow different retention requirements as described in the main policy.

You can withdraw from further participation at any time without giving a reason. Email contact@unblo.com to withdraw consent for the use of identifiable interview material, recording, or transcription, or to request deletion. We stop the relevant future use and remove identifiable material we can locate, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

We cannot identify and extract your contribution from findings that have already been made genuinely anonymous, or retrieve copies of a report already distributed. Withdrawal does not make earlier processing unlawful. We will explain any practical or legal limits when handling your request.

06

Rights and complaints

Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your information, object to relevant processing, and withdraw consent. Contact contact@unblo.com. We may need proportionate information to verify a request.

Our team aims to respond within 30 days and meets the deadline required by applicable law. The usual EU and UK rights-request deadline is one month, with an extension only where permitted and explained within that period. A response is distinct from completion of deletion across all systems.

You can complain to us and to the relevant supervisory authority. The main privacy policy explains complaints, appeals where applicable, and authority contact routes.

07

Changes

We update the date above when this policy changes and notify affected participants of material changes as required by law, including by email where appropriate. A policy update does not expand the consent you already gave. Any new use requiring consent needs a separate choice.
